Badii

Badii is a Connecticut-based media and community platform dedicated to bringing European sauna and thermal bathing culture to American audiences — with a Swiss-inspired spirit and a uniquely American flair.

Founded by Sarah Spoto — senior marketing executive turned Aufgussmaster — Badii was born from firsthand experience living in Baden, Switzerland, home to the country's most mineral-rich thermal waters. What Sarah discovered there wasn't a luxury spa experience, but a deeply rooted culture of community, joy, and daily restoration. Badii exists to share that with the US.

Today, Badii reaches a highly engaged, niche audience through multiple platforms: the Badii Talk: Thermal Bathing & Sauna Culture podcast, an email newsletter, a blog on Substack, and Instagram. Content spans expert interviews, spa and travel recommendations, bathing history, and science-backed sauna education.

On the ground in Connecticut, Badii hosts pop-up Aufguss Sauna Socials, bringing e bathing rituals directly into local communities across New England. We also how a virtual Bathing Culture lab, The Business of Sweat, for founders in the bathing world —in partnership with Nell Waters of Sweat Temples.

Badii is a woman-owned small business with a big mission: to make sauna and thermal bathing culture accessible, joyful, and deeply rooted in community — just as it has been in Europe for centuries.
