Kenya Healthcare Federation
About
The Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) is Kenya's apex private health sector platform and the Health Sector Board of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). Founded in 2004, KHF convenes approximately 300-member organizations spanning the full health ecosystem — healthcare providers, hospital networks, pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors, medical device firms, insurers, diagnostic laboratories, digital health innovators, logistics providers, and professional associations. Through its membership, KHF connects to a substantial proportion of Kenya's private healthcare delivery infrastructure, operating across all 47 counties.
Kenya's private sector delivers over 40% of national healthcare services, predominantly curative care, across an estimated 16,000 health facilities of which almost half are privately operated. KHF is the principal coordinating body that bridges this considerable private-sector capability with national health policy and planning.
