Marco Tanis is Managing Director at Bayards Helidecks, where he leads a passionate team dedicated to designing and delivering lightweight, durable, and sustainable aluminium helicopter landing platforms for both offshore and onshore environments. With more than two decades of international experience across maritime, offshore energy, and infrastructure, Marco combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to advance safe and future-proof aviation accessibility.

Before joining Bayards in 2021, Marco built a distinguished career at Boskalis, where he served in multiple senior roles, including Project Director and Senior Project Manager within the Offshore Energy division. His projects spanned complex global assignments — from large-scale offshore transport and installation campaigns to critical infrastructure works in Australia and the Netherlands. Earlier in his career, he gained extensive experience in contract management at Rijkswaterstaat, laying the foundation for his deep understanding of public-private collaboration.

Educated at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Marco brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to innovation. Under his leadership, Bayards Helidecks champions aluminium as the material of the future — not only for its strength and longevity in harsh environments, but also for its role in enabling sustainable healthcare and energy infrastructure.
