About me
Feng Mei, female, Ph.D., MD,professor, doctoral supervisor, currently serves as the Party Committee Secretary of Sichuan Third People’s Hospital, Deputy Director of the Sichuan Key Laboratory of Radiation Oncology, and Vice President of the Medical Engineering Research Institute at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Her concurrent positions include Member of the Radiotherpy Oncology Committee of the Chinese Medical Association, Deputy Leader of the Youth Group of the Oncology Committee of the Chinese Medical Association, Member of the Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Quality Control Expert Committee of the National Cancer Center, Committee Member of the Chinese Medical Association Expert Committee, Vice Chairman of the Western Radiation Therapy Association, and Chairman of the Oncology Committee of the Sichuan Medical Association. I am honored with titles such as the National Outstanding Young Physician, Advanced Worker in the National Health System, and Academic and Technical Leader of Sichuan Province.
With a long-term focus on translational research in the precision radiotherapy and comprehensive treatment of head and neck tumors, I specializes in the precision treatment of challenging malignancies such as head and neck tumors, refractory nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and gliomas. I has led multiple national and provincial-level major research projects, published over 50 high-quality papers (highest impact factor: 16.2), and contributed to 13 domestic and international guidelines and consensus documents, including the Chinese Expert Consensus on Radiotherapy for Glioma, CACA Guidelines for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma, and Chinese Expert Consensus on Prevention and Treatment Strategies for Radiation-Induced Oral Mucositis.
I has been a visiting scholar at the Medical College of Wisconsin, USA, and the Italian Proton and Heavy Ion Therapy Center. Myr research findings have been presented at prestigious conferences such as the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) Annual Meeting, the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) Annual Meeting, and ESTRO meets Asia, receiving widespread recognition in the field. Over the past decade, I have been deeply involved in the collaborative efforts of the Western Radiation Therapy Association, the Sichuan Medical Association, and the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO). Also, I has co-organized the Sino-French Training Program for Advanced Radiotherapy Physicians in collaboration with the Sino French Association of Radiation Oncology (ASFOR) and hosted multiple ESTRO Advanced Training Workshops on Radiation Oncology Progress for nationwide professional development.
