The IDE Simulation Usability Lab uniquely merges advanced usability testing facilities with deep user-centered design expertise, empowering MedTech companies—from agile startups to established organisations—to reduce development risk, validate clinical workflows, and achieve faster, more confident market entry.
-
The lab features adaptable contextual environments and flexible scheduling options, ensuring usability studies are responsive to evolving project timelines and enabling clients to maximize resource efficiency throughout the product development lifecycle.
-
The new Simulation Usability Lab is purposefully embedded within IDE Group’s Minneapolis Design & Development Studio, enabling rapid iteration and immediate application of user insights directly into the product design and commercialization process.
The IDE Simulation Usability Lab features diverse contextual simulation environments, including Surgical Suites, Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, and In-patient Hospital Rooms. It also includes an integrated observation suite equipped with advanced audio-visual equipment designed to capture detailed usability data and stream to extended teams. Additionally, dedicated participant check-in and waiting areas ensure efficient participant management, optimizing overall usability study operations.
Recognizing the fluid nature of product development timelines, IDE Group provides flexible reservation and scheduling options, allowing companies to respond to changing project needs while managing their resources effectively.
The Simulation Usability Lab is now available for both current IDE Group clients and new clients requiring access to advanced usability resources.
