Eductour 2 - Day 1 : Tour Nîmes - Tour of Camargue

After breakfast, check-out from the C-Suites Hotel with your luggage

8:45 am Departure by coach in direction of one of the local jewels of architecture, the abbey church of Saint-Gilles. This ancient benedictine monastery was listed in 1998 as a World Heritage Site as a milestone on the pilgrim road to Compostela.

9:45 am Continuation towards the the medieval city of Aigues Mortes, the pearl of Occitanie, built in the 13th century in accordance with the wishes of Louis the 9th in preparation for his departure on the Crusades. (Luggage will be deposited by the coach's driver at the hotel).

10:30 am Stroll around the medieval town, visit of the primitive Gothic church of Notre Dame des Sablons with its contemporary stained-glass windows. Meeting point with the guide in front of the church.

11:00 am Visit to the Tour de Constance and free access to visit the rampart walkway.

12:30 pm Lunch in the heart of the medieval city, at Restaurant Le Dit Vin.

2:00 pm Head out on electric bikes to the l’Espiguette Lighthouse, following the Via Rhôna bicycle path. During the tour: views of the Camelles de Sel, the protected site of La Marette, listed as a Grand Site de France de la Camargue Gardoise, and the port of Le Grau du Roi.

3:30 pm Following a walk on the boardwalk through the dunes, a guided tour of the l’Espiguette Lighthouse, in another site listed as Grand Site de France de la Camargue Gardoise. Access to the lantern level and the museum below.

5:00 pm Return to Aigues-Mortes by coach.

5:30 pm Visit and tasting at the Maison Fluide distillery. Then check-in at 3* Hotel Les Jardins du Canal.

8:00 pm Dinner at the Restaurant La Camargue.

Overnight stay in Aigues Mortes at the 3* Hotel Les Jardins du Canal.
