LAHAR VESUVIO DOC LACRYMA CHRISTI ROSSO SUPERIORE

Hand-harvested into crates from select 25-year-old estate-owned vineyards located in San Giuseppe Vesuviano. Harvest is delayed until the second half of October to allow the grapes to fully ripen in terms of color and concentration. Maceration is managed with a brief cold fermentation to enhance extracts and aromas, followed by controlled cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks until final maturation. After fermentation, the wine ages for 6 months in second-use barriques to impart elegance, silkiness, and smoothness. Its key characteristics are a balance between freshness, minerality, and flavor. Excellent structure and persistence. Intense and brilliant red, lively and bursting like the fire of Vesuvius. Pleasant, it smells of red fruit and aromatic spices. Silky, savory, mineral flavor with a harmonious, complex and full bodied aroma.
