Amista Nizza DOCG Riserva red wine
International sales manager at Amistà
Nizza Monferrato, Italy
About
Amistà Nizza DOCG Riserva is obtained by the grapes of the eldest vineyards aged between 60 to 98 years old. Production per yield is of less than 38 quintals per hectar, for a total bottle production of about 3000 bottles per year.
The wine ferments in truncated conical wooden vat for 30 days, refines in new oak of woods of several French Forrests, for 12 months and ages in bottle for over 3 years.
The wine has a rich ruby red color with a note of violet that gradually evolves into garnet after a few years of aging. On the nose, elegant and austere, with notes of plums, black cherry, ripened blackberry, and hints of spices. These are followed by lingering, delicate notes of vanilla. The wine is savory and full-bodied with healthy acidity and tannic structure that will mellow as the wine ages.
