Kimmo Saharinen

I am the Co-Founder and Chief Engineer of Bluet Oy Ltd, where I specialize in developing and delivering innovative floating construction solutions around the world. With over two decades of experience in engineering and project management, my work focuses on designing floating pools, saunas, residential areas, and leisure concepts that combine technical innovations with sustainable design.

Since founding Bluet in 2016, I have led the engineering of several landmark projects, including the floating heated infinity pool at Lake Como’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel, public floating sea baths in Sweden, and floating housing developments in Helsinki. I oversee technical design, project supervision, and collaboration with partners and suppliers to ensure the highest quality standards.

I hold a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oulu. My passion is to push the boundaries of construction technology and create sustainable waterfront solutions that adapt to urban growth and climate change.
