About me
My childhood near the coast, the experience of several floods, and my interdisciplinary education in the study program Planning Sustainable Buildings drive my search for solutions to future flood threats. In this context, climate-resilient and future-proof construction, as well as the joint consideration of human protection needs and the environmental impact of protective measures, are particularly important to me. This requires building solutions that are appropriate to the specific flooding threats and a rethinking of traditional strategies. My goal is to find adapted solutions -in research and practical implementation- for vulnerable areas that provide long-term protection without exacerbating or shifting the causes of flooding. Being active in research, and designing energy efficent buildings on land the last years i strive to put my ideas into realisation and be part of the floating revolution.
