P-tex-bac

P-tex bac is a vegan and biodegradable biofabric biomanufactured by bacteria. Available in original (brown) and translucent versions - the pioneering color available on the market. The biofabric sheet measures 50cm x 30cm, has a leather-like feel and appearance, UVA and UVB protection, thermal resistance and high tensile strength. The biofabric is an innovation co-produced with fermentation and is therefore ecologically integrated with regenerative and circular systems. As a sustainable alternative to leather, it prevents:

- soil degradation, deforestation, forest fires, pollution and water waste as it is a vegan material with a low water footprint;

- does not generate toxic waste from the dyeing/printing process as its coloring and texture are made naturally in the biomanufacturing process or with laser cutters, respectively; - eliminates the need for landfills that promote incorrect disposal of clothing by transforming it into nutritious and compostable waste due to its biodegradable nature.
