Showersave MultiVert MVII: central shower heat recovery for swimming pools and sports facilities

The Showersave MultiVert MVII is a central heat recovery unit for facilities with many showers, such as swimming pools, sports centres, gyms and hotels. The wastewater of multiple showers is collected and led through the unit. Its heat preheats the incoming cold water for the hot water system.

Key features:

• Four vertical Showersave heat exchangers per unit, connected in parallel on the water side

• Vertical design: not prone to fouling, also with dirtier wastewater

• Optional internal coating to protect the copper against chlorine

• Connected to the hot water side only, to limit Legionella risk in the installation

• 30–50% energy savings on shower hot water

• Return on investment within 1.5 years in more than 80% of projects

• Approved in Denmark (ETA-Danmark VA 3.29/18788) and covered by the CSTB Avis Technique in France through our French partner

Proven in practice: at Centre Aquatique Aqualens in Lens, France (53 showers), heat meters recorded 94.7 MWh recovered per year over 40 months. The actual payback was 2.4 years, against 6.4 years in the original engineering calculation.

Also specified at Park Hotel Spaarnwoude (NL), a new-build 137-room hotel: two MVII-21 units serve the 137 guest rooms, with a calculated saving of 81,365 kWh per year.
