Vacuum Sewerage: Smart Wastewater Collection Where Gravity Fails
COO at Qua-vac B.V.
Almere, Netherlands
About
Qua-vac is a family-owned company based in the Netherlands. We specialise in vacuum sewerage and design and supply complete systems, including our Vacuflow technology..
The challenge we solve
Conventional gravity sewers need deep trenches, many manholes and pumping stations. That makes them expensive and disruptive, and sometimes impossible to build, for example:
-
on flat land or where groundwater is high
-
in rocky or unstable soil
-
in coastal areas, on islands and in protected nature areas
-
in dense urban sites, or where existing utilities leave little space
Key benefits
-
Leak-proof: the vacuum keeps the network sealed, so no wastewater escapes into soil or groundwater, and no groundwater gets in.
-
Shallow, narrow trenches: smaller pipes laid less deep mean faster installation, lower civil costs and less disruption.
-
No manholes or pumping stations along the route: power is needed only at the vacuum station.
-
Low maintenance: the high flow speed prevents blockages, and the wastewater stays fresh, so there are no odour and H₂S problems.
-
Lower carbon footprint: less excavation and less material.
-
Scalable: from a handful of homes to entire districts.
Who we are looking for
We want to meet companies that want to add vacuum sewerage to what they already offer:
-
distributors and agents in water and wastewater technology
-
contractors and installers working in sewer and civil works
-
engineering and consulting firms that advise utilities, municipalities and developers
What we offer partners
-
access to our full product range
-
technical design support and system engineering
-
training for sales, installation and maintenance staff
-
support with your first projects, plus marketing and reference material
