New Area of Space Robotics using Edge AI and ROS2
About
Klepsydra is looking for partners with interest in Robotics and are utilising ROS2 in new ways and that can benefit from our ROS2 acceleration and AI inference engine, enabling new applications for space robotics thanks to increased achievable performance on space computers.
Klepsydra AI and Klepsydra ROS2 - A Powerful combination: The Klepsydra ROS2 executor implements a novel ring-buffer design. This results in proven performance increase on several space computers and the Raspberry Pi4 with Real-time Linux. These results have been validated against the de facto real-time benchmarking standard:
-
2x - 8x increase in data processing capabilities with respect to standard techniques (e.g. ROS).
-
5x - 10x increase in image processing capability with respect to standard techniques (e.g.,OpenMP).
-
25%-50% less power consumption with respect to standard techniques.
The solution is platform independent and designed for easy integration.
We are seeking partners that want to advance robotics!
