Session 6: Roundtable 2 - Ruby Meades - Animation Director
What have you been working on and what did you learn making it?
Animator and director Ruby Meades, who runs LoopdeLoop in Invercargill, will lead an informal animation show-and-tell exploring the work that happens behind the finished product.
Ruby will kick things off and then invite a selection of people around the table to share something they’re working on or have recently finished, as long as it’s not under NDA.
Any medium, software or technique is welcome. You might share roughs alongside the final animation, a technique you figured out, something you're particularly proud of, a recent LoopdeLoop animation, behind-the-scenes work from the 48Hours, or simply something cool you've been experimenting with.
Come prepared with a few images, a short clip or something you can quickly share on screen and Ruby might pick you!
The idea isn't to deliver a polished presentation. It's a chance to show the process, talk about what you learned, see how other animators work and leave inspired by what everyone else is making.
Please keep anything you prepare short so we can see work from several people around the table.
