My work is related to radio astronomy in space, lunar radio instrumentation, pulsar navigation and distributed systems such as satellite swarms.

My organisation

CWTe aims to stimulate and initiate collaboration across research groups, external academic partners and industry to jointly work on open research questions to create a joint understanding and vision for future wireless communication, as well as wireless sensing. The Center has six research groups: Electromagnetics, Electronic Systems, Electro-Optical Communication, Integrated Circuits, Photonics Integration and Signal Processing Systems, which collaborate across four research programmes. Ultra-high data rates: • Millimeter-Wave to THz Frequencies and very high data rates (1Tbps) • Smart antenna systems, phased arrays, optical wireless • Next generation RAN (cell-free M-MIMO, non-terrestrial networks) Networks • Ultra small, ultra-low power and battery-less wireless systems • Self-configuring networks, autonomous devices and AI • High-reliability and ultra-low latency Active Sensing • Next-generation radars • Material characterisation • Sensing and positioning (3D, under water ) Radio Astronomy • Next generation radio telescopes in space and on the Moon • Large antenna arrays • Low frequency (<30 MHz) instrumentation
