Applica AS

Applica AS is a Norwegian technology and consulting company with more than 40 years of experience delivering advanced software and engineering solutions to demanding industries. The company has built a strong reputation within defence, industrial systems, telecommunications, healthcare, and other mission-critical domains where quality, reliability, and long-term competence are essential.

At Applica Consulting, we specialize in system-near software development with a strong focus on C++, embedded systems, Linux, real-time solutions, communications technology, and complex integrated systems. We work closely with customers that develop advanced products and platforms where performance, robustness, and security are critical success factors.

One of our key strengths is our highly experienced engineering environment. We have one of Norway’s strongest professional communities within C++ and embedded development, combining senior expertise with continuous competence sharing across projects and internal technical forums. Our consultants are not left alone in assignments — they are part of a collaborative organization where knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical sparring are central parts of the culture.

We support customers both through individual specialist consultants and larger consulting teams, often contributing across the full lifecycle from architecture and development to testing, integration, and long-term maintenance. Many of our projects involve complex hardware-near software, communication systems, secure environments, and solutions with high requirements for stability and precision.

Our culture is built around professionalism, long-term relationships, and people-centered leadership. We believe the best results are created by combining strong technical competence with trust, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to both customers and employees. This approach has enabled us to build long-standing partnerships with leading Norwegian and international organizations.

With offices in both Southern Norway and Oslo, Applica continues to grow as a financially strong and technology-driven consulting company, while maintaining the agility, close collaboration, and technical passion that have been part of the company’s DNA since its founding.
