Plenu is a UK start-up building an AI design-to-fabrication platform for suspended ceiling manufacturers.

Ceiling manufacturers run on general-purpose CAD that was never built for their workflows, leaving design and manufacturing disconnected at exactly the point they need to work together. Quotes take weeks. Errors in complex geometries surface late, when fixes cost the most. Every upstream change forces rework across fragmented tools and competing versions.

Plenu replaces that with one platform purpose-built for ceiling design and manufacture. It codifies each manufacturer's own products and design rules into a private AI knowledge base and design-rule solver, then turns a ceiling plan into valid, manufacturable designs and production-ready output in minutes. Quoting, concept design, detailing and manufacturing documentation all run against a single live model, co-authored in real time by everyone involved — so shop-drawing errors are caught before production rather than paid for after it.

The platform provides:

• A full CAD engine in the browser, accessible from any device
• The PlenuAI agent and a knowledge base trained on the manufacturer's own products
• An intelligent design rule solver that enforces manufacturing constraints automatically
• Live collaboration across design, engineering and production teams
• Automated drawings (Reflected Ceiling Plans, Sections, Panels, Flats, etc), live bill of materials and LOD400 production-ready output

Plenu is priced on outcomes — per quote and per square metre solved, rather than per seat — so cost tracks work delivered.

Founded in 2025, Plenu is pre-launch and currently recruiting founding partners ahead of alpha. Its founders spent the previous decade building enterprise design-to-fabrication software for architecture and manufacturing firms, including a production ceiling design configurator delivered to a global ceiling manufacturer.

For the UK-Singapore Collaborative R&D call, Plenu is seeking a Singapore suspended ceiling or façade manufacturer to co-develop and validate the platform against real products, design rules and production constraints. The partner would apply to Enterprise Singapore in parallel and take on substantive technical work within the project.
