YoungPolymer: Scaling PHA with chemical synthesis

For many plastic applications, recycling plastics is not an option, and replacing all of them with home-compostable alternatives is nearly impossible. Biobased fermentation routes are costly and hardly scalable, and have major challenges in supplying the required feedstocks. Therefore, we propose a chemical route that leads to the same compostability but in an affordable way on a large scale.
