About
Discovair G2+
The Discovair G2+ is a passive acoustic sensor for counter-UAS detection, developed and built by Squarehead Technology in Oslo, Norway. It uses a 128 microphone array to detect, classify and track Class I and II drones, including rotary wing, fixed wing, fiber optic controlled and loitering munitions.
Because it is entirely passive, it emits nothing, cannot be jammed, and works in GPS denied environments with near zero false positives. The sensor has no moving parts, weighs 8 kg, is roughly the size of a pizza box, and is rated IP65 and MIL-STD-810H for operation from minus 40 to plus 70 degrees Celsius.
It operates in a 105 degree directional mode or a 360 degree hemispheric listening dome, and integrates into external C2 through SAPIENT (BSI Flex 335 v2.0 / NATO STANREC 4869), Cursor on Target for ATAK, and a WebSocket/JSON API. The G2+ is ITAR free and CE marked.
