AMBARtec AG

AMBARtec is a leading innovator in iron oxide-based hydrogen storage systems.

The process consists of the reduction and oxidation of iron oxide or iron. These systems are particularly suitable for the safe, loss-free storage of hydrogen for any length of time, and for its safe transport, even between continents. H₂ is only produced when needed. The unpressurised storage tanks are not classified as hazardous goods and do not require complex security measures.

In cooperation with Rouge H2 Engineering AG, AMBARtec offers an alternative process based on iron oxide to generate very pure hydrogen from dirty gases, such as blast furnace gases or synthetic gases from biogenic residues or sewage sludge.
