Material Flow with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)

About
PUMACY is a technology provider (SME) specialized in sensor data analytics for industrial applications. Within an application experiment we implemented an Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) pilot for ensuring an optimized material flow on the shop floor of a metal part production facility. This has been achieved through a concise 3D-simulation of the envisaged logistics process considering the virtualization of AGVs, safety sensors, and material through the open interfaces provided by an OPIL platform. An adaptable AGV based on an omni-directional drive thereby served as the main physical component handling material flow on the shop-floor. We are interested in to integrate this idea including into an continuous industry approach with simulation, virtual putting into service and data analytics on the shop floor in order to be part of a bigger consortium in manufacturing / logistics context (Horizon, EDF, FoF ...)
