Plant-made recombinant proteins — a new generation of biomanufacturing

Through plant molecular farming, transient expression and optimized downstream purification, the platform enables rapid and flexible production of complex proteins that can be challenging or costly to manufacture using conventional systems.

The technology is designed to combine animal-free production, rapid development, flexible manufacturing and scalability, providing an alternative approach to traditional microbial and mammalian-cell production. We serve applications including cell and gene therapy, advanced cell culture, stem cell and organoid research, regenerative medicine, biomaterials and selected cosmetic applications. In our first launch we will focus on bringing a selection of growth factors, cytokines, interleukins and collagen to the market. We are looking to establish partnerships in Japan with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, distributors, research organizations and other life-science partners interested in innovative protein solutions and plant-based biomanufacturing.
