The UFSM, Federal University of Santa Maria, is a large institution for higher Education by the centre of the southernmost state of Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul. We empower people from the centre region, the state of Rio grande do Sul and beyond, with strong work ethic and state-of-the-art knowledge so they can engineer and develop solutions that transform the realities around them. From our vocational degrees, undergraduate courses and graduate programs, through teaching, science and technology research, and community outreach, we carry strong expertise that supports the social and economic development of our region and the country.
