About

Every day more than 6 million inhabitants in Madrid turn on their taps and receive a top-quality essential resource: water. This has been taking pace for more than 165 years, a period in which the citizens of Madrid have been trusting Canal de Isabel II. We wish to continue managing a resource that belongs to everyone, using everyone's resources, and to continue representing a company of pride for all the inhabitants of Madrid.

Canal de Isabel II is in charge of the management of the integral water cycle in practically the entire Madrid region; that is, all the processes aimed at adequate administration of water resources and environmental conservation. These processes, which are the collection, treatment and monitoring of water quality; its transportation and distribution; the sanitation and wastewater treatment, and its regeneration for subsequent reuse, are necessary for the development and maintenance of the quality of life of citizens.

In 2023, the Canal Group supplied water to a total of 7.46 million people (7.16 in Spain and 0.30 in Latin America), and we employed 3,746 workers, in addition to generating more than 5,500 indirect jobs.
