**Technische Universität Berlin’**s mission statement lays down in writing its self-image as a globally recognized research university with a rich tradition. We aim to further develop science and technology for the benefit of society.
The ISR's (Institute of Urban and Regional Planning) research and teaching is dedicated to spatial structures and interrelationships at the scale levels of neighbourhoods, cities and municipalities as well as regions up to the supranational level**. The aim is to develop these in a sustainable way that is orientated towards the common good**.
K LAB is a laboratory for communication at ISR. Communication is understood as a multidirectional dialogue, as re-negotiation of different understandings of the urban and its spaces: a two-footed practice, pivoting on production and presentation of content and media (i.e. the visualization of information); as well as interaction of stakeholders and exchange of information (i.e. participatory formats) for the purpose of constructive deliberation.
Working on development of spatial planning strategies and urban interventions to counteract informal dumping structures in metropolitan areas //// Happy to share ideas with motivated organisations / city stakeholders / initiatives. Feel free to reach out!
