This technology enables controlled formation of an artificial patina layer on zinc-coated surfaces. It overcomes the limitations of natural passivation, which typically takes 6–10 weeks and depends on variable environmental conditions such as CO₂ levels and airborne contamination.

The process produces a fully developed, uniform, and homogeneous patina layer in approximately few hours. It is carried out under controlled conditions, for example using immersion in a treated aqueous solution, ensuring full surface coverage while significantly reducing contamination from dust, oils, salts, and industrial pollutants.

The resulting patina reduces chemical reactivity and slows the degradation of the metallic coating.

This solution is well-suited for architectural, construction, and industrial applications where consistent visual quality, reduced processing time, and durability are critical. The technology is scalable and can be integrated into existing production processes.
