The University of Cagliari (UniCa) is a public state research University located in Sardinia, Italy. UniCa offers a multidisciplinary educational programme aiming at increasing awareness, education and research mainly in five knowledge areas: Medicine, Engineering, Science, Social Studies and Humanities. UniCa is structured in 6 faculties, 15 departments, 8 service centres, and 1 university hospital; it counts more than 25,000 students and employs almost 2000 people, considering scientific and technical and administrative staff. The research, development and innovation activities in UniCa are supported by the Research and Territory Division, which provides advice and services related with regional, national and international research programmes participation.
