My organisation

The Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs (RILSA) is a public research institution based in the Czech Republic, operating under the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs. Its primary mission is to provide high-quality research and expert analysis in the fields of labour, employment, and social policy. RILSA serves as a key source of information and evidence for policymakers, supporting the development and evaluation of effective public policies that address social challenges and promote social cohesion. The institute conducts applied and theoretical research across a broad range of topics, including labor market dynamics, family and social protection policy, pension systems, income inequality, aging, and social inclusion. It also focuses on occupational safety and health, examining working conditions and strategies for risk prevention in the workplace. RILSA’s work often includes international comparisons and cooperation with European and global research institutions to ensure its findings are relevant in a broader context. The institute also contributes to professional education and public debate through publications, seminars, and conferences. The main goals of RILSA are to support the creation of socially responsible policies, improve the quality of life for citizens, and strengthen the effectiveness of social systems in the Czech Republic. By providing reliable data, conducting in-depth analysis, and proposing practical solutions, RILSA plays a critical role in addressing societal issues and shaping long-term strategies in the areas of labour and social affairs. Its commitment to interdisciplinary research and collaboration helps ensure that its recommendations are both scientifically grounded and practically applicable.
