UAB has extensive expertise in the defined areas of the Social Transformatins and Resilience future European partnership. Our expertise in the topics addressed by the partnership is broad and diverse, ranging from innovation in social services, welfare systems, and the design and evaluation of public policies, to issues of discrimination, migration, poverty factors, labour studies, skills and education, urban transformation, and adaptation to climate change. Among others, some of our research centres and groups with high expertise in these topics include: QUIT (Sociological Research Centre on Everyday Life and Work), focusing on the area of the future of work. IGOP (The Institute of Government and Public Policy), which promotes research, training, and dissemination in the fields of government and public policies from an interdisciplinary perspective. CERSIN(Research Center for the Study of Inclusive Processes) whose mission is to study inclusive processes from an educational perspective. GRET (Research Group Education and Work), which focuses on researching the transition between education and work. GEPS (Globalisation, Education and Social Policies research center), a research centre that aims at developping critical research on educational policies and practices and in particular to assess their impact on educational inequalities and systems from a social justice perspective. CER-M, dedicated to studies on migration, integration, and minorities. ICTA (The Institute of Environmental Science and Technology), a multidisciplinary research centre in environmental sciences that addresses several societal challenges, including rural land, urbanisation, production and consumption patterns, and transformative policy action. Moreover, our university, due to its extensive expertise, has created a community on the strategic challenge of Education and Labour, which is directly aligned with the challenges addressed by the partnership.
