The Institute of Philosophy is a public research institute based in Zagreb, Croatia, and the leading institution in the country for research in the field of philosophy. The Institute carries out scientific and expert activities with a focus on both historical and contemporary philosophical inquiries. Our research spans a wide spectrum of philosophical disciplines, including the history of philosophy and ideas, as well as theoretical and practical philosophy. This includes studies in metaphysics, ethics, political philosophy, philosophy of language, and philosophy of science, among others. The Institute also maintains strong international collaboration and is committed to fostering critical thinking and philosophical dialogue across disciplines and cultural contexts.

About me

I am a Research Associate at the Institute of Philosophy in Zagreb and an Associate Professor at the University North in Varaždin. I am currently serving as the Assistant Director of the Institute of Philosophy.

My interest lay in applied ethics, and political philosophy, especially in the areas of international and intergenerational justice. I am the principal investigator of the project “Moral Progress: Individual and Collective” (2024-2027), funded by the Croatian Science Foundation.

I received a PhD from the University of Zagreb in 2010. I also spent time during my PhD as a visiting student at the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz and the University Heidelberg.
