EcoStemTech – Sustainable Innovation from Vine to Value
Professor at UTAD
Vila Real, Portugal
About
EcoStemTech is an innovative project focused on the valorisation of grape stems from the wine industry through circular economy and sustainable biotechnology approaches. The project aims to transform this underused agro-industrial by-product into high-value bioactive ingredients for applications in cosmetics, health and viticulture.
By combining green extraction technologies, scientific research and industry-oriented innovation, EcoStemTech promotes waste reduction, sustainability and the development of natural solutions with antioxidant and antimicrobial potential. The project also seeks to strengthen collaboration between academia, industry and stakeholders, contributing to a more sustainable and competitive bioeconomy sector.
