SSH partner for biodiversity narratives, power and communication interventions
Details
The Bonn Applied English Linguistics (BAEL) group at the University of Bonn is interested in joining an established consortium for HORIZON-NATURE-2027-01-03, “Systemic approaches to accelerate transformative change for biodiversity.”
We offer expertise in corpus and discourse analysis, AI-assisted analysis of large-scale public communication, multilingual and cross-cultural comparison, and experimental methods. A possible research contribution would analyse how narratives, norms, linguistic framing, actor visibility and power asymmetries shape the legitimacy and uptake of nature-positive policies and practices. Building on this analysis, communication interventions could be co-designed with relevant stakeholders and experimentally evaluated in connection with the consortium’s ecological case studies.
We are seeking a consortium that already covers biodiversity science, ecological outcome measures, empirical case-study sites and relevant stakeholder partnerships. We are interested in a clearly defined and funded scientific role focusing on the social and communicative mechanisms of transformative change.
