ASTRA was extablished in 2005 to collect the Research and Management experiences of its founders in Aerospace Engineering and Scientific Instrumentation fields. The well-estabilished capabilities in the Aeropace Field, together with technical and design skills and a smart business organization with reduced costs are main assets of ASTRA’s business.

Design and Manufacturing of Heat Flux Sensors and Probes (HFP) based on Slug Sensors, particularly for Aerospace Applications. Slug sensors are simple, affordable, precise, contourable; they don’t require cooling systems and follow an International Standard (ASME). Slug Sensors can be used in many situations where other sensors fail. The non-aerospace applications of Slug Sensors include Fire Testing, Textile and Biophysical Testing, Conductivity Measurements of Materials, Nuclear Energy Studies and so on.
Design and manufacturing of Total Enthalpy Probes (TEP): is a robust, medium cost instrument to measure total enthalpy, velocity and chemical composition in plasma flows and other high temperature, reactive gas flows. Total Enthalpy Probe is an accurate and reliable measurement tool for temperature ranging from 2000 to 12000 (K). ASTRA manufactures a range of TEP:a)SUBSONIC, with straight tip or bent at different angles;b)SUPERSONIC, with straight tip or bent at different angles.
