Initium Space is a European enterprise active in the domain of space studies, consultancy, and technology development. The company provides expertise across multiple disciplines, including thermal hardware, advanced materials and processes, structural and mechanical systems, and electronics for space applications.

Initium Space has extensive experience in the preparation and execution of ESA-funded activities, supporting partners in mission studies, concept development, requirement analysis, and proposal preparation. Beyond consultancy, the company is engaged in the design, prototyping, and validation of innovative technologies, with relevance to applications in Earth orbit, lunar surface operations, and deep space exploration.

Relevant projects:

• LOADER project (Lifting and Offloading Add-on Device for EL3/Argonaut Resources) covers the research, design, manufacturing, and testing of a lunar crane system designed to offload payloads onto the Moon’s surface. Initium Space is a subcontractor to project prime COMOTI (Romania)

• CROMIS – early technology development project (ESA PECS) aiming to develop a h-alpha solar telescope payload – providing support to Protostar Labs (prime - Croatia)

• Lunar Relativistic Positioning System (LUREPOS) - Phase-0 small lunar orbiter mission - supporting the prime (Aalta Lab - Slovenia) in areas like mission concept, mission architecture and general project implementation (ESA project)

• High Aspect Ratio Satellites - feasibility study (ESA - ARTES - subcontractor to Novaspace) on the topic of high aspect ratio satellites ("flat satellites") and their applications.

• Elaboration of the Cleanroom operations procedures (15+ documents) for a research institute - combining applicable ECSS and ISO standards

• ESA proposal training course for start-ups and non-space entities
