About
Smiths Interconnect has designed a one-piece, spring loaded, double-ended coax that meets the stack-height of the GPP03 (3.25mm) and is a solderless solution.
The main differentiators are:
1.Low cost of Ownership – No secondary process needed to install, just alignment to the PCB’s which is accomplished through dowel pins.
2.Ease of Assembly – Because of its nature, the spring only requires an insertion force to mate with the PCB. Each coax requires only 2 oz. of force to mate.
3.Ease of Rework – Since the coax applies an opposing force, de-mating the connectors requires no effort.
4.Single-piece construction.
