About
The company Metravib Engineering has been developing for 7 years a technology for the early detection of gas leaks on industrial sites by acoustic means. Several dozen demonstrators (TRL7) are currently installed on industrial sites. Today we are seeking to generalize the technology and application cases. We have defined a strategic research and development axis aimed at creating a technology for automatic 3D recognition of sound events. We want to offer this technology to the field of Defense. It turns out that we are starting internally an R&D project aimed at embedding this technology on a drone for monitoring industrial sites. We have identified the call for projects EDF-2024-LS-RA-CHALLENGE-SENS-RADNP: Multi-sensor integration for robust autonomous drone navigation – Participation in a technological challenge which will be officially opened in June 2024. Metravib Engineering can hardly set up and manage a project in response to this call, the acoustic modality being one of the integrable modalities targeted in this call. Joining a consortium led either by a drone manufacturer or by a drone sensor equipment manufacturer seems to be the best way to obtain support for the development of a 3D automatic recognition system for sound events onboard a drone for an Defense application.
