MAX Flight Software (MAX) is a commercial off-the-shelf flight software product designed for space vehicles and payloads. MAX provides a robust core framework, control algorithms, and an extensive library of supported hardware devices to dramatically reduce development timelines required for most missions. MAX is highly configurable and easily extendible to accommodate mission specific payloads and interfaces.
MAX contains configurable layers of Flight Software, including:
· Processor Hardware BSP Interface Layer that accommodates for all modern onboard processor architectures
· Operating System (Linux, VxWorks, RTEMS, Windows) and Boot Loader Layer
· Operating System Abstraction Layer containing task management, semaphores, message queues, and timers.
· Software Interface/Framework Layers including command/telemetry management, subsystem software control, hardware I/O library, configuration/parameter management, and common software libraries.
· Complete Subsystem Software Layer including GN&C, Propulsion, Communication, Power, Thermal, Sequencing, Fault Protection, and Hardware Driver Library
