Tendon-driven Bionic Hand for Orbital Servicing

CEO at SI Robotics

Warsaw, Poland

About

Our tendon-based bionic hand provides compliant, adaptive grasping for delicate orbital operations — payload handling, inspection, and servicing.

The design merges underactuation with passive compliance, enabling safe contact with irregular surfaces.

Control is hybrid: local reflex loops for force limits and slip detection combined with reinforcement-learning policies trained on Earth-based humanoid datasets.

The system is aligned with ESA’s RPA/IOD roadmap and ready for breadboard testing under EROSS-SC or RISE programmes.

We’re looking for partners for TRL 4–6 validation and future in-orbit demonstration.
