About
GRAM (Gradel Robotic Additive Manufacturing) is a patented process enabling the production of extremely lightweight and sustainable composite structures for aerospace and space applications.
By combining AI-driven topology optimization with filament winding of off-the-shelf recyclable materials, GRAM achieves weight reductions of up to 70% compared to traditional metallic or 3D-printed titanium solutions — while maintaining or exceeding mechanical performance.
The technology has been space qualified through several demonstrators, including a double satellite dispenser, reaction wheel support, and antenna and reflector structures developed in collaboration with leading European space partners.
Benefits:
-
Up to 70% mass reduction and 80% less material use
-
Lower total cost of ownership (TCO) through simplified production and recyclability
-
Predictive accuracy between simulation and testing within ±6%
-
Applicable to satellite structures, MGSE, and launcher interfaces
