MPA Technology

MPA-Technology by Hermle, it's a hybrid manufacturing approach combining additive with subtractive manufacturing. On the AM side we use cold spray, a solid-state AM process for metals allowing multimaterial metal parts with internal features. The 5-Axis milling center provides an accuracy and surface finish, unreached by other AM processes. MPA offers the possibility of joining or mixing metals regardless of their melting temperature.

From monomaterial components such as satellite antennas of unrivalled quality, through the functional integration of heat pipes or thermocouples, to targeted material mixtures for adapting specific material properties, MPA offers unprecedented possibilities in layout, design and production.

We are just beginning to exploit the great potential of MPA. That is why we are very happy to receive new ideas and enquiries and therefore also offer an R&D service. You come to us with your idea and we develop it for you and bring the product into series production.
