STAR-Water-nano
Project Engineer at OhmSpace
Rome, Italy
About
Using water as its propellant, STAR-Water-nano delivers high specific impulse (Isp > 200 s) and thrust up to 20 mN, enabling rapid orbit raising and precision maneuvering without the risks or complexity of chemical propulsion. Designed for platforms as small as 2U, with tank capacities from 0.3 kg, it offers total impulse exceeding 600 Ns, operating at power levels up to 50 W.
Equipped with RS-422 telemetry and command (T&C) for seamless integration, STAR-Water-nano sets a new standard for compact, high-performance resistojet systems. Its first flight is scheduled for Q1 2026, marking the beginning of a new era of clean, high-thrust propulsion for CubeSats and small satellites worldwide.
