In a 40-person space project (not counting numerous sub-contractors), all deadlines were missed.
15 coaching days over 9 weeks were enough for them to learn not to miss any more deadlines.
Result: rather than the expected one year late, they delivered one day before the deadline, saving at least some 6M€.

Most of the people in this project initially said to me: “Niels, we have been doing this kind of projects for 27 years. We’re very good at it. What do you think you can add to that ?!”
That’s a relevant question, right?

But apparently, there was one thing they still could learn:
how to deliver on time.
Fortunately, all being really good systems engineers, it didn’t take long to help them master delivering on time as well.
