ICTLab is a spin-off of the University of Catania. Since 2016 it has worked in Digital Forensics, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision, with a strong focus on Research and Development.

The company provides specialist Digital Forensics consulting on complex civil and criminal cases, including deepfake detection, cybercrime, computer intrusions, forensic analysis of devices and data, and event reconstruction. Its Digital Forensics experts have long worked with several Italian Public Prosecutor’s Offices, institutions and law enforcement agencies, advising on cases of national importance.

The Multimedia Analytics division develops on-premise Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision solutions. These solutions bring automation and advanced multimedia content analysis into business processes, while keeping data secure and avoiding dependence on external providers. Among its most recent projects, ICTLab is developing intelligent video analytics solutions for security, presented in international settings such as Innovit – Italian Innovation and Culture Hub in San Francisco 2026 and the IEEE ICIP 2025 conference.

Its close ties with the university allow ICTLab to turn academic research into concrete, reliable software solutions that stay at the state of the art.
