TORCH is a Catalan startup that has developed and patented the first Green AI, a local, autonomous, solar-powered artificial intelligence capable of operating anywhere and under any circumstances, without relying on the Internet or the power grid. Its purpose is to provide inclusive, accessible and safe information for everyone, especially the most vulnerable people.

This technology is already being applied in solutions such as the first fully solar-powered fixed traffic lights, designed to keep operating during blackouts like the one on 28 April 2025, in bus stops that speak directly with blind people to provide information and greater mobility independence, and in emergency situations, such as the earthquake in Colombia, where the AI helped people in rural and urban areas find shelter, food or assistance when power and communications infrastructure had failed.

From this same technology, the possibilities are virtually unlimited. It can be applied to public transport, mobility, emergencies, tourism, healthcare, hospitals, education, logistics, agriculture, fishing, industry, local governments, safety, critical infrastructure, rural or isolated areas and even space applications. A single technology capable of bringing artificial intelligence, accessibility and resilience to places where it was previously not possible.
