BCN Tech Innovation SL

BCN Tech Innovation develops Arada, a municipal operations platform designed to help local governments manage assets, maintenance, incidents and field operations within a single structured data environment.

Municipal information is often fragmented across spreadsheets, emails, messaging apps, legacy software and isolated departmental systems. Arada provides a common operational layer where municipalities can structure this information, connect it to physical assets and locations, and maintain traceability from an initial report to the work performed in the field.

The platform currently covers areas such as municipal asset and property management, maintenance workflows, citizen and internal incident management, work orders, field teams, geolocation, photographic evidence and operational reporting.

Arada is designed around interoperability, data sovereignty and technological independence. Its open architecture enables integration with existing municipal systems, citizen applications, GIS, IoT platforms, analytical tools and third-party services through APIs and structured data exchange.

Rather than replacing every specialised municipal system, Arada can operate as the operational and data layer connecting people, assets, processes and external technologies.

This structured approach also creates the foundation for advanced analytics and AI-supported decision-making: before applying AI to municipal management, organisations need reliable, contextualised and well-structured operational data.

Arada is developed by BCN Tech Innovation in Catalonia and is particularly interested in pilot projects, co-development, system integration and international R&D collaborations related to GovTech, municipal asset management, urban operations, interoperability and data-driven public services.
