TerrAria is an environmental consultancy and web application development company specializing in environmental innovation. With over 25 years of experience, TerrAria combines technical expertise, scientific knowledge, and advanced IT solutions to create tools, methodologies, and processes with specific energy and environmental focus.
The company is structured into three areas. The Governance and Environmental Energy Models team evaluates the interaction between project scenarios and environment, through the implementation of forecasting models and energy-environmental balances, supporting policy makers in defining policies, through the modeling approach. In particular, TerrAria combines advanced skills in Air Quality (AQ) environmental impact assessment, territorial planning support, and modelling across regional, local and urban scales, as well as developing innovative AQ web tools. The IT area develops decision support systems (DSS), engineers open source and multi-platform solutions; the WebGIS represents the ideal platform and channel for the provision of georeferenced services (thematic maps). The Research and Development group is very active in networking and building partnerships for European and Regional calls. It has participated in groupings with other partners (environmental agencies, universities, private companies, etc.) in LIFE, IEE, Interreg, FP7 projects, MIUR funding, FESR and other national and European calls, successfully winning over 15 R&D projects.
