About
The Agencia de Conectividad y Acceso a Internet (ACAI) is a public institution established by the state government of Jalisco, Mexico, with the mission of advancing digital connectivity and inclusive internet access across the region.
ACAI is responsible for planning, deploying and overseeing key broadband infrastructure projects—such as the state’s internet backbone and local access networks—aimed at reducing the digital divide and enabling socio-economic development in both urban and rural communities.
Through its programmes and partnerships, ACAI promotes inclusive access to digital services, supports schools, communities and local governments in obtaining connectivity, and works to ensure that more citizens can benefit from internet-enabled opportunities in education, commerce and civic life.
Based in Guadalajara (Zona Centro, Calle Independencia 55), the agency acts as a key component of the regional digital-infrastructure agenda, aligning with the broader goals of technological modernization, public service innovation and socio-digital inclusion in Jalisco.
