Context: Port of Barcelona, World Trade Center Barcelona & BlueTechPort

·        The Port of Barcelona is Spain’s leading port for international trade. It handles over 71 million tonnes of cargo each year and is connected to over 200 ports worldwide. As a smart port, it is committed to sustainability, innovation and digital transformation. Initiatives such as Nexigen (dock electrification) and OPS (Onshore Power Supply) are helping to reduce emissions.

·        The World Trade Center Barcelona is much more than just a business hub. Spanning 130,000 m² of open spaces, bespoke offices and fully equipped conference rooms on the seafront, it brings together experiences, talent and technology. The hallmarks of the World Trade Center Barcelona business centre are efficient interactions, constant innovation and teamwork. Find solutions to your professional needs in a diverse, transparent space offering personalised services for your projects.

·        BlueTechPort is a 25,000 m² innovation campus located at San Bertran Dock. Designed to host start-ups, scale-ups and research centres focused on the blue economy, it was launched in 2023. It includes co-working spaces, laboratories, networking areas and access to testing zones within the port (sandbox model).
