Tokaj Gin

Beyond juniper, our leading botanicals include Moroccan coriander, blackcurrant, pink grapefruit, cubeb pepper, rose pepper, wild spruce shoots from the Zemplén Mountains, sea buckthorn, and of course, Linden-leaf grapes and elderflower.

This is a long, complex gin, where the aroma alone immediately reveals that this is something entirely different from anything you’ve previously experienced or thought about gin. The 21 botanicals used are in perfect harmony, with none overpowering the others—making even the act of nosing the gin a long-lasting, enjoyable experience.

We recommend enjoying it neat at room temperature, or as a G&T with a particularly dry Indian tonic. For garnish, we use only blackcurrant and either fresh or dehydrated pink grapefruit—nothing else.

The gin is crafted using a single-shot, column still distillation process. Some of the botanicals are macerated in the pot for 24 hours, then enriched with additional spices on the distillation day. Fresh ingredients are placed in a special steam basket above the pot. While it’s called “single-shot,” this method actually combines multiple distillation techniques—resulting in a truly complex and refined spirit.

What makes this gin even more exceptional is its use of fermentative aromatics—a technique rarely seen in the gin world. In our case, two key ingredients—Linden-leaf grapes and elderflower—are individually fermented and distilled, before being added to the pot, enriching the flavor and aroma profile with incredible depth.
